Okay, so I did everything I could think of to fix my blog. Sorry for the long wait. We are still around! Believe me it's driving me crazy! I eventually came to the conclusion I would just have to start over because somehow the blog was badly infected. Anyway I'm in the process of setting up my new one now. If any of you haven't sent me your e-mail please do. I'll probably be going private the beginning of next week. Thanks. Love to all! Our new blog site is http://haughfamilyblog.blogspot.com/

Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day...
Have you ever had a day where nothing went right? Do you remember that book Alexander and The Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day. Well that was my Friday. It started with an early rise. I woke up happy and ready to start my day at 4:50, ya I said 4:50. I thought I'd spend a few minutes revamping my blog with a new template, some new family pics, stuff I do all the time, then get to my 5:30 workout. Well, I picked my new template, code and all, copy and pasted where I was supposed to, saved it, viewed my blog and oh no! It was white, had all my side pictures missing, all my links GONE. I could cry. All you bloggers know how time consuming it is getting all this done. And time is something I don't have ample supply of! So I guess this is a GOOGLE/BLOGGER. I've researched it and I guess this had happened to people a lot the last week or so. Blogger is working on it. So bare with me until they or I figure out what to do next. The blog will let me post, but I don't want to add too much because once I can change templates or add things when my layout/ update buttons are working again I could lose more. Has this happened to anyone else? Anyway, the rest of Friday was much of the same. Oh well. I'm a lucky girl with a happy life. Some days are like that.( Even in Australia!) Well this is probably a good
time for me to go private. I've been thinking about it for a while. Can you all start e-mailing me so I can add you to my list. My e-mail is havefaith2@cox.net. Thanks!

First Day of First Grade!

Makena has had a great first couple days of first grade. She was a little nervous, but excited before we left yesterday morning. She's so cute. A few days before school started she set out the whole weeks clothes, accessories and shoes on her bedroom floor. She was very happy to have two close friends in class with her. She likes her teacher Ms. Lopez. And she's even enjoying having lunch at school, and playing on the big kid playground,(Eek!) which she was a little apprehensive about.
The crazy thing is I totally remember first grade, don't you?! It's weird to think her little life's details will now be lifelong memories! She is a good girl with LOTS of personality and sass. Did I mention sass. I am so proud of her. She told me she befriended a new girl at her school who was feeling a little nervous about being at a new school. She has a big heart. I love my brown eyed girl! (I posted a couple first day pics as well as some bowling pictures from over the weekend.)

New Firsts

Really, already! Payton stood up this week . She's certainly my most active, most ambitious baby. But she's such a shrimp that she's been attempting to stand up on the coffee table and couch without success because they're too tall. On Tuesday, she crawled into the bathroom where I was bathing Brinley and Makena and she climbed the tub. And then Matt had the brilliant idea to pull out our living room toy box to the middle of the floor. It's the perfect height. She loves holding on to it. She can even move around it a bit. As you can see Makena put sunglasses on her. She thought it was funny bcause everyonr else did! I'm not ready for her babyhood to be over yet! She also broke her first tooth this week. And without much crankiness at all. She is the sweetest little girl ever. I couldn't imagine life without her.Thursday, August 7, 2008
The Start of Something New...

Makena and I went to Tuacahn last Saturday with some of our mother/ daughter friends to see High School Musical. We had such a blast. We took off early and did some shopping at Tai Pan(sooo fun). You really could spend all day in there. The girls weren't as crazy about it, but the Moms had fun. We then took the kids to The Children's Place for some school clothes. That they loved. It's so funny having Makena bring me clothes from racks that she likes. I feel like I say it all the time, but I still feel like she should be in diapers.
High School Musical was so cute. It was fun watching Makena enthralled in watching all the actors. Her favorite part was getting Gabriella's autograph after the show. Even the drive home was so great. It was fun being able to spend some quality alone time just with her. It seems like so long ago it was just she and I. How fast they grow. Only a few weeks until first gra
So while I was away Matt was busy working on a huge surprise for me. He put in new stainless steel appliances and tiled the backsplash of our kitchen. It was a big project for just 8 or 9 hours. I was very surprised. It looks great!( I'll post some pictures in the next few days. We still need to put in the sink and grout the tile.) He even enlisted two buddies to help and got sitters for the kids. Thanks Honey, you're the best! I love you.

Summer Fun

What a fun few weeks we've had. We started our trip by going to Otter Lake. We had fun fishing( not catching anything) and hanging by the lake. Then we went to see my sister in Utah for the Forth of July. My niece Kate had a tea party set up for my girls and som of her friends when we arrived. It was so cute! I love Utah in July. It's a little cooler, it stays light outside until the middle of the night practically, and it's fun watching all the families come in their front yards for a barbeque and fireworks! We also got to have lunch with our friends the Lightens. My parents, little sister, and my sister Alison and her kids and my family went to Hogle Zoo. It brought back some fun memories of my childhood. And it was so fun watching my kids and their cousins run around having a great time. I wish we could be with them much more. Wait a go moving away Alison! : )We were home for a week. Just enough time for me to unpack, do laundry, and load it all up in the motor home again. We went on our annual Mission Beach trip. Ahh, San Diego's weather is the best. Coming home hurt. We had such a nice time visiting with family. My sister Kaylee even came from Wisconsin!( Congrats on the engagement!!!) Makena forgot all about us. She was strapped to her hip. We had a great time playing in the ocean, visiting La Jolla, which is beautiful, although it was freezing that particular day, and enjoying having nothing we had to do. The girls had a blast making sand castles, catching a very large crab, and laughing at Me for being bitten in the bootie by a very small crab! Ouch! Payton is such the water baby. She loved just sitting in the water playing( and occasionally eating) in the sand. All went well until our last day when Matt and Makena were riding back to the beach on our Razor motorbike. Makena had control of the gas and they crashed. She was pretty banged up. Abbrasions on her nose, legs, feet, bum, ext. Nothing like road rash. But kids are like rubber balls. She was runnin' around in no time. Although poor Matt's been left with a broken elbow. Sorry Honey.
Well it's back to real life. School starts in 6 weeks already. That's amazing! Hope everyone is having a fun, HOT Summer!

Crawl, Swim, Pierce...

Here's a few things going on in our lives the last couple weeks. Makena decided sh really wanted her ears pierced. I decided it was fine with me. She and I went on a little Mommy daughter date to get it done. She squeezed my hand, looked at me with big eyes and said ouch. That was all, no tears. They look very pretty, and she's very good at reminding me to clean them everyday. She's getting so grown up.
Much to my surprise and joy Brinley did great in swimming lessons. The first couple days she clung to me like a barnacle, but she got comfortable jumping in and going under the water pretty quickly! It really was amazing how far she came in just a couple weeks. And now she's a fish in our pool. She's not swimming totally solo, but close. Her favorite thing do is swim under the water from one person to the next. She can hold her breath for up to 15 seconds! We are so proud of her!
Payton is just about crawling. She actually has crawled 5 or 6 little strides a few times. But it's so funny, after she does, she looks at us like how did I just do that! I put a picture of our favorite new move she does. Hopefully you can tell from the picture. She puts her feet on the floor and her bum up in the air. Then she'll take a few little steps. We call it our monkey crawl. She loves to sit on the floor and play with anything in front of her. Mostly she likes putting anything in her mouth. But the days are few until she'll be chasing after me. She's growing way to fast.
We are looking forward to a much needed vacation. I think I've packed up my whole house. Packing for five is something! I can't wait to spend some fun times with my family and see my new nephew. Love to all!
